Our dedicated Assisted Swimming sessions happen every TUESDAY at EGHAM ORBIT pool, even during school holidays.
The only exception are for our AGM, when the leisure centre is closed, and for a week over the Christmas holidays.
For more details visit the EGHAM ORBIT website: http://www.achievelifestyle.co.uk/
Our swim session is 11.30am - 1.00pm.
The best way to decide to join us is to come along, watch a session, have a chat and see what we are all about. You will be very welcome.
Our Swim Session
We gather in the foyer from about 10.45am onwards. Some members indulge in coffee and cake before their swim, some afterwards.
We start to make our way to change from 11.00am, ready for a 11.30am start.
Members are free to swim/exercise etc in the 1.2m training pool which is slightly warmer or the 1.2m/1.8m lanes in the main pool (subject to school swimming lessons) .
Basic head, shoulder, arm, waist, leg group exercises are done together in the training pool at about 12.15pm followed by a couple of fun exercises to well known songs, for those that wish to participate.
The session ends at 1.00pm but members are welcome to drop in/get out when they wish (subject to transport and the changing rota for the accessible changing rooms with volunteer assistance).
After changing, some have 'tea and chat' whilst others depart.
